Above the line advertising
Promotion of brands, products or services through media like print advertising, tv advertisements, radio advertisements, banner advertising, and online promotion like search engine optimisation and internet banner advertisments are part of above the line advertising. Above the line advertising loosely also mean mass media.
 
Advertising
Advertising is the art of drawing public attention to goods and services by promoting businesses, and is performed through a variety of media. It is an important part of an overall promotional strategy. In other words, advertising is the promotion of goods, services, companies and ideas, usually performed by an identified sponsor, and performed through a variety of media. Annual reports
These documents, also known as 10Ks, give a detailed picture of a company's financial condition, and should be read by any investor considering investing in a company's stock. They include management's discussion and analysis, stock price history, and financial data like revenues, expenses, earnings, margins, and balance sheet.
 
Brand Management
Brand management is the marketing technique of promoting a product, service or it's brand identity using advertising and promotion. The objective of brand management is to increase percieved value of a brand in eyes of customer, hence increasing brand recall and brand loyalty, which eventually can lead to increased sales.
 
Branding
The process by which the true character and purpose of the company or organization is communicated. It is a promise, a pledge of quality. It is the essence of a product, including why it is great, and how it is better than all competiting products. It is an image. It is a combination of words and letters, symbols, and colors.

Brochures
A brochure or pamphlet is a paper advertisement. Brochures may advertise locations, events, hotels, products, services, etc. They are usually succinct in language and eye-catching in design. Direct mail and trade shows are common ways to distribute brochures to introduce a product or service. In hotels and other places that tourists frequent, brochure racks or stands may suggest visits to amusement parks and other points of interest.

Below the line advertising
Any sales promotion tactic which uses less conventional means like frequent use or loyality incentives, email marketing, newsletters, direct mail, exhibitions, sponsorship activities, public relations, freebies with goods, trade discounts, redeemable coupons, point of sale displays etc. to try and create immediate or delayed incentive for purchase are part of below the line advertising.
 
Calendar
A calendar is a system for naming periods of time, typically days. These names are known as calendar dates. A table showing the months, weeks, and days in at least one specific year is called a calendar. Calendars can be 1, 2, 4, 6 or 12 pages. Customized calendars can be more creative in design.

Creative writing

Magazine
A magazine is a periodical publication containing a variety of articles, generally financed by advertising, purchased by readers, or both. Packaging
Packaging is the enclosing of a physical object, typically a product that requires protection from tampering. Photography

A sign posted in a public place as an advertisement is called poster. A Poster is any large piece of paper which hangs from a wall or other such surface. They are a frequent tool of advertisers, propagandists, protestors and other groups trying to communicate a message, and they also see personal use by people, especially the young, who wish to decorate in a relatively low-cost manner.
